CHARLES J. EHLINGER, 80 OF POTTSTOWN Charles J. Ehlinger, 80, of South Coventry Twp. Pottstown, husband of Esther "Judi" (Morrison) Ehlinger, died Thursday at his residence. Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Isabelle (Clark) Ehlinger. Mr. Ehlinger was a machinist with the former Stanley G. Flagg Co. for 20 years and he was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force. Mr. Ehlinger was a member of the Bloomsburg Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and the American Legion of Pottstown. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Charles J. Ehlinger Jr. and his wife Elizabeth, Douglassville; David W. Ehlinger and his wife Elizabeth "Betsy", Phoenixville; one daughter Carolyn wife of John Willis, Columbus, OH; one brother Clyde Ehlinger, Pottsville; eight grandchildren David Ehlinger Jr., Beth Ehlinger, Sarah Stevenson, Crystal Sterner, Todd Cremers, Christopher Ehlinger, Robert Willis, and Jaret Willis; one great granddaughter Rebekah Stevenson. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Benjamin Ehlinger Jr. and two sisters, Helen Kelly and Laura Thompson. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday July 9, 2013 from Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Donald Eisenhauer. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans, 5915 Emilie Road, Levittown, PA 19057 or American Parkinson's Assoc., c/o Crozer Chester Med. Ctr., Presidents Dr., Upland, PA 19013. Arrangements are by the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, at 359 King St. in Pottstown.
