CHRISTINA M. FRIEND, 65, OF LINFIELD Christina M. Friend, 65, of Linfield, formerly Conshohocken, died on August 27, 2012 at Neighborhood Hospice in West Chester. She was the beloved wife of Daniel J. Friend for 49 years. She was born in Bryn Mawr, on December 6, 1946 to the late Thomas J. and Mary "Elsie" (Alvarez) Kozlowski. She was a graduate of St. Matthew High School class of 1964 and graduated with honors in Mathematics. She was employed as a Cashier for ARAMARK at Merck Pharmaceuticals for 29 years until her retirement. Christina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was a great supporter of their activities and sporting events. She loved to travel with her husband to many destinations; enjoyed vacationing in Ocean City, MD and Ft. Lauderdale FL for many years; and taking trips to the NJ shore. Christina was a member of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church in Linfield and a former member of St. Matthew Church in Conshohocken. In addition to her husband Daniel, she is survived by two children, Denise C. Giunta of Downingtown, Daniel J. Friend, Jr. and wife Ellen of Royersford; four grandchildren, Paige, Roman, Emma, Madison; a brother Thomas Kozlowski and wife Michelle of Newtown; a sister Arlene Yorgey and husband Bruce of North Wales; two aunts Henrietta Gardocki and Ernestine "Tina" DiLoreto both of Lansdale; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at 11 St. Matthew Church, 219 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Visitation will be from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the Emil J. Ciavarelli Family Funeral Home, 516 Fayette St., Conshohocken. Interment in St. Matthew Cemetery.
