Diane Strohl


Diane Margaret (Calvey) Strohl, 56, of Ruscombmanor Township, died Oct. 8, 2012 in the Reading Hospital after a battling cancer since March, 2011.
She was the wife of Douglas Daniel Strohl.
Diane was predeceased by her first husband, Vincent J. Kelly, Jr., who died July 2, 1989.
Born in Tooele, Utah on July 27, 1956, she was a daughter Vera Sieglinde (Bacher) Calvey of Robesonia and the late Paul Francis Calvey.
She was a graduate of Reading High School.
Diane was employed as a laborer with Godiva Chocolate, Exeter Township; a school bus driver for Quigley Bus, Bally; US Express Printing, Muhlenberg Township in customer service and last worked for Empire Building Surplus, Bern Township, in the clerical and account receivable department until she was unable to continue to work in June, 2011.
She is also survived by three children: Brandy (Kelly), wife of Todd A. Castellucci of Cumru Township; Andrea (Kelly), wife of Daniel R. Ruf of Shoemakersville Borough and Kristen Kelly of Cumru Township and two step-children: Alissa R. Strohl of Deltona, Florida and Christina L. Strohl of Rockland Township.
There are also five siblings surviving: David Calvey of Lancaster; Erik D. Calvey of Robesonia; Denise (Calvey), wife of David Zarecor of Poncho Springs, Colo; Troy Calvey of Reading and Kathleen Calvey, companion of George Saltzman of Wernersville.
Other survivors include six grandchildren: Alexandria Castellucci, Cassandra Castellucci, Caitlin Steele, Tyler Ruf, Eva Montgomery and Vada Behm.
Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale.
Viewings will be held Wednesday, 6:30 - 8 p.m. and Thursday, 10 - 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
