DONALD B. BILLIG SR., 81 Donald B. Billig Sr., 81, formerly of Summit Hill, PA, passed away on April 3, 2013 in Jacksonville, FL. He is predeceased by his parents, Bert S. and Elizabeth (Bogle) Billig, and his brother, Melvin Billig. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eleanor (Scheese) Billig of Lansford, PA; son, Donald B.Billig Jr. (Anita); daughters, Jean E. Clark (Merrill) and Nancy E. Quick (Gregg); grandsons, Jason, Tom and Scott Clark and Paul Billig, as well as one great-granddaughter. He also has one nephew and five nieces. Donald graduated from Summit Hill High School in 1949, where he was the class president and a member of the basketball and track teams. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952 - 1954. After his military service, he attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology. He was employed at Unisys as a Technical Illustrator until his retirement in 1990. He and Eleanor resided in Spring City, PA, with their family, before retiring to Florida in 1992, where they enjoyed an active lifestyle including bowling, golf, shuffleboard, swimming and spending time with friends. There will be a graveside service at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery in Summit Hill, PA, on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jeremy Benack officiating.
