Born in Stowe, PA, she was the third daughter of the late Dominic Mariano and Anna (Pasco) (Mariano) Shadler. She enjoyed working at Pantry Pride in Pottstown for 28 years. After retirement she worked for several years at Owen J. Roberts School District. She volunteered with her sister, Freda at the Pottstown Cluster Outreach Center. It's a tribute to our mom". Dorothy loved spending time with family and enjoying her home. She loved cooking and especially baking pies. Dorothy and Nicholas were happily married for 67 years, together they lovingly raised three children, Cheryl wife of Gary DeMedio of East Norriton, PA, Nicholas husband of Michele Bilinski of Boyertown, PA and Lisa and husband Frank Mirenda of Douglassville, PA. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Tara wife of Tony Duca; Adam Bilinski; Robert husband of Amy Mayberry and Joe Bilinski; her three great-grandchildren, Adam Duca; Bobby and Ryan Mayberry; and her sister, Freda Wanner of North Coventry, PA. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Concetta Mariano and Edith Boone. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother Catholic Church, 127 E. Howard Street, Stowe, PA, on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Stowe, PA. A viewing will be held in church on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Pottstown Cluster Outreach Center, 137 Walnut Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.
