DOUGLAS E. MOSER JR., 76, OF COLLEGEVILLE Douglas E. Moser Jr., 76, of Collegeville, formerly of Pottstown, died suddenly on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. He was the husband of the late Marilyn S. (Mollard) Moser and loving companion of Carol A. Keenan. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Douglas E. Moser, Sr. and Mabel (Miller) Moser. Mr. Moser was a 1953 graduate of Pottstown High School, where he excelled at basketball. For over 46 years, he umpired Junior high, high school and legion baseball in the greater Pottstown area. A Marine Veteran, he served his country in the Korean War. He was a production supervisor for the Firestone Tire & Rubber Company for over 24 years. He then worked for the Rockwood Spring Water Company in delivery and eventually in the office. Surviving in addition to his loving companion, Carol A. Keenan, are one son, David D. Moser and his wife, Tammy of Exeter Twp.; one daughter, Gwen L. Cotellese of Muhlenberg Twp.; one sister, Betty Conway of Pennsburg; three grandchildren, Brandon and Emily Moser and Stephen Cotellese, and one great-granddaughter, Kylie Cotellese. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Gladys Talbot. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday, January 23, 2012 at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown. Rev. Steven Claycomb will officiate.
