E. ELAINE VALENTEEN, 92, FORMERLY OF PHOENIXVILLE E. Elaine (Pechin) Valenteen, 92, wife of the late Richard Valenteen, of Phoenixville died on Sunday, May 11, 2014 at Manatawny Manor, East Coventry. Born in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Edna (Speakman) Pechin. Elaine graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1940 and faithfully served on her class reunion committee over the years. She was the library assistant at Phoenixville High School for many years. Elaine served as a deacon and sang in the choir for many years at First Presbyterian Church in Phoenixville. She enjoyed her monthly card club gatherings, dancing and playing golf. She also was a member of Phoenixville YMCA where she enjoyed swimming. She is survived by her sons, Richard Terry and his wife Barbara Valenteen of Ventura, CA, and Pagosa Springs, CO, and Douglas J. and his wife Tacy Valenteen of Royersford, PA, and grandsons, Christopher Valenteen and Peter Valenteen. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Pechin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Eva Johnson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday morning from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be private.
