ELEANOR E. REAM OF BOYERTOWN Eleanor E. (Stine) Ream, wife of Robert J. Ream, Jr. of Boyertown, died Thursday October 11, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Pottstown, the daughter of the late Chester Stine and Esther (Amole) Scheib. In addition to her husband she is survived by four children, Michael A. Ondik and his wife Melanie, Las Vegas; Johanna M. w/o George Barnes, Boyertown; and David E. Ondik and his wife Shelly of Pottstown; Keith R. Girardi of Boyertown; four step-children, Shannon N. Conklin, Mount Carmel; Sarah A. Ream, Fleetwood; Robert Ream, lll Boyertown; Skyler K. Ream of Rahns; foster child Dan Storti, Boyertown; and many other foster children; 16 grandchildren, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Brenda M. Allen and Dorothy E. Clifford. She was a nursing supervisor at the former Pennhurst State Hospital, then held various nursing positions at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center for 20 years, until becoming a Hospice nurse for the past 10 years with Caring Hospice Services. She was highly regarded by her peers and the familes she served throughout her career. Eleanor along with her husband Rob have guided the lives of many children through foster parenting with Access Services Inc. They also received the highest honor by being named the foster parents of the year. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Monday October 15, 2012 from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King Street, Pottstown. Officiating will be Reverend Dr. Barry L. Moyer and Reverend Michael Sullivan. Relatives and friends may call from 10 until 11 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be private. Contributions may be made in her memory to Caring Hospice Services, 400 Comerce Dr., Suite C, Fort Washington, PA 19034.
