George R. Magill Sr. Obituary
GEORGE R. MAGILL SR., 87, OF SCHWENKSVILLE George R. Magill Sr., 87, husband of the late Bertha R. "Becky" (Eigleson) Magill, Centennial Ave., Schwenksville, died Thursday, at Manor Care, Pottstown. Mr. Magill was born on December 24, 1926, in Norristown. He was a son of the late Robert T. and Edna M. (Wismer) Magill. During World War II, Mr. Magill served as a Corporal, in Company C, 4th Infantry Regiment, in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of Roy S. Leidy Post #203, American Legion, Schwenksville. Before he retired, Mr. Magill was a telephone technician for Western Electric and Lucent Technology, Upper Merion Twp. Mr. Magill is survived by his sons, George R., II, husband of Patricia A. (Romano) Magill, Perkiomen Twp., and Jeffrey L., husband of Cynthia E. (Aller) Magill, Upper Frederick Twp.; and his grandchildren, Lauren, Ian, and Ethan Magill. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Magill. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., 21 Main St., Trappe. Burial will be in Lower Skippack Mennonite Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.
