GORDON F. SIMMONS Gordon F. Simmons, 87, of Sacramento, CA, husband of Rita (Reynolds) Simmons, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away after a brief illness on Monday, December 16, 2013, with his loving daughter Lori by his side. He was born on July 21, 1926, in Pottstown, PA, to the late Adam Gregory Simmons and Ada Grace (Landis) Simmons, the second oldest of their three children. Mr. Simmons served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He was the owner of Simmons Printing in Milton, PA, until he and his wife retired to California. Prior to that, he worked in his parents business and later owned his long distance transportation business before he chose employment with Berman's and Branch trucking. Always congenial, friendly with a grand sense of humor, Mr. Simmons was a respected member of each community where he resided. He is mourned and dearly missed by his loving wife Rita, his daughter Lori Young with Charles Young, their children Victoria, Alexander and Sarah., his son Gordon A Simmons with wife Linda, their children Belinda and Gordon B., his sister Darlene Rohrbach, his step-children, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Esther Mastrangelo. A private service will be held for the immediate family.
