Guy E. Phillips Sr. Obituary
GUY E. PHILLIPS SR., 81, OF ROYERSFORD Guy E. Phillips Sr., 81, husband of Mary Alice (Conway) Phillips, of Royersford, PA, and formerly of Phoenixville, PA, died on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at home. Born in Petroleum, WV, he was the son of the late Guy I. and Amanda (Baxter) Phillips. Guy served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked in housekeeping at Phoenixville Manor for 20 years. He was a member of the Phoenixville Moose Lodge 1273. He loved his children and his grandchildren, going to Ocean View Campground in New Jersey, and an occasional trip to the casino. Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughter, Lou Ann Allen and Brian Gallagher; daughter, Colleen and Danny Mongold; daughter, Mary Beth and David Ryder; son, Guy E. Phillips. Jr., and Tina; son, Dan Phillips; daughter, Melissa Phillips and Jesse Lentz; seven grandchildren, Liz, Jenny, Tara, Gemma, Sammy, Danny and Shelby; sisters, Mary Moore and Shirley Callison; brothers, Hank Phillips, Eugene Phillips, Ebert Phillips; sister-in-law, Jeanne Trainer; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Chuck Allen, his grandson, Christopher Allen, his brothers, David Phillips and Bill Phillips. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, January 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. Relatives and Friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 9:45 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christopher J. Allen Memorial Schlorship Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank, 101 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460. Condolences may be given to the family at www.DevlinRosmosKepp.com.
