Harry T. Barnett, Jr., 89, of East Coventry and formerly of Phoenixville, Pa., husband of Katherine A. (Marren) Barnett, died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 in Manor Care, Pottstown, Pa.|
Born in Phoenixville, Pa., he was the son of the late Harry T. and Josephine (Griffith) Barnett.
Harry served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He retired as assistant superintendent of maintenance at Phoenix Steel Corporation.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spring City, Pa.
He served on the Phoenixville Area School District School Board.
He had been President of the Black Rock Boat Club and was an avid golfer.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his son, Harry T. "Ted" Barnett, of Phoenixville, Pa., two grandchildren, T. Ryan Barnett, of Philadelphia, Pa., and Nikki McCrossan, of Charlotte, N.C., and two great-grandchildren, Maureen McCrossan and Quinn McCrossan.
He was preceded in death by his brother and sisters, Edward Barnett, Thelma Ash, Alice Rowland and Martha Kovatch.
