Horst W. Dehning, 92, was born April 17, 1920 in Hannover (Celle), Germany, and passed away on Jan. 31, 2013 at the Southeastern Veterans' Center in Spring City, Pa., where he received loving, caring help.|
His parents were the late Margaret (Harling) and Albert Dehning of Germany and then New York City.
Horst is survived by his wife, Angela (Baumayr), of 65 years and his son, William (husband of Tina), of Elverson, Pa. Horst was a veteran of the 591st Army Air Force Base Unit during WWII, serving in Iceland, where he worked with aviation and related technology.
Horst's profession as an industrial engineer led him through many interesting projects for the U.S. Postal Service, which were marketed through Burroughs and then Uniysys Corp. He was a graduate of Pratt Institute of New York City.
Horst was a high-energy man who enjoyed building houses and handling the electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and finishing touches.
He will be missed by all that know him.

Service will be private per the family request.
