Obituary Condolences

JAMES JOSEPH PSOTA, 82, OF READING James Joseph Psota, 82, of Reading, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at his home. He was born Sept. 19, 1929 in Pottstown to Michael and Mary Ann (Gurba) Psota. He graduated from Pottstown High School and attended the University of Alabama. Master Sergeant James J. Psota served 21 years in the US Air Force, retiring in 1968 as a Legal Technician. He then worked at Fireman's Fund Insurance Co. as a disability claims representative, as well as Aetna Insurance Co. On May 3, 1965 he married Blanche R. "Peg" (McManus) and she preceded him in death in 2010. Survivors include one sister, Irene Vapniarek of Pottstown; four stepchildren, James Clark of Carmichael CA; Suzanne Forsch of Gersheim, Germany; Colleen Anderson of Colcord, OK, and Jon Clark of Anderson, CA, and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Marianne Psota; three sisters, Helen Wolfe, Mary Ann Jones and Margaret Wolcott, and one brother, Albert Psota. Visitation for family and friends is scheduled Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at St. Catherine Laboure Church in Concord, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 9 a.m. with Father Denis Spitzley officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Custer Cemetery, Augusta, MI, at 1 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Catherine Laboure Church or a .
