Janet M. Eck, 68, of New Ringgold, formerly of Perkiomenville, died Monday evening, Dec. 30, 2013, in Rest Haven Nursing Home, Schuylkill Haven. She was the widow of Michael Eck, who died Oct. 8, 2013. |
Prior to retirement, she was employed as a machine operator for more than 20 years at Bally Ribbon Mills, Bally, Pa.
Born in Kulpmont, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Czajkowski) Krayeski.
She was of the Catholic faith. A devoted housewife, she enjoyed spending time with family and traveling.
She was preceded in death by a brother, John, and his wife, Roseanne.
Surviving are two sons, Christopher, and wife, Tina, of Elbridge, N.Y., Brian, and wife, Vicki, of Pennsburg; a daughter, Constance, wife of Christopher Brown, of New Ringgold; a brother, Joseph, and wife, Joanne, of Bonita Springs, Fla.; four sisters: Elaine, wife of Joe Harker, of Elverson, Patricia, wife of Stanley Stefanowicz, of Chilhowie, Va., Leona, wife of Jim Koch, of Pottstown, Helen, wife of Jack Bartman, of Kimberton; six grandchildrean, two great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at the Hartman Funeral Home, 1791 West Penn Pike, Route 309, New Ringgold, with the Rev. Stanley J. Stefanowicz, deacon, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
