Obituary Condolences

JOHN F. O'NEILL, 85, OF ROYERSFORD John F. "Slick" O'Neill, 85, of Royersford, PA, and formerly of Phoenixville, PA, died on Thursday, September 6, 2012. He was the husband of Rita C. (McManus) O'Neill, who he was married to for 63 years. He was a graduate of West Catholic High School, Class of 1945. John served in the United States Army. He worked for the Logistics Department of the United States Government, retiring in 1989. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Phoenixville, a member of Knights of Columbus Council 1374, where he served as Past Grand Knight, Ancient Order of Hibernians and the American Legion Post 602, Spring City, PA. Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Deborah, wife of Thomas Wick; Maureen, wife of Joseph Wall; Susan, wife of John Yeager, and Jackie, wife of the late Jay Yenchick; son, John O'Neill; seven grandchildren, John, Joe and Jeff Yeager; Lauren and Kevin Wick, and Ryan and Corey Wall; one great-grandson, John Yeager; sister, Rose, wife of the late Walter Chasnocha, and sister-in-law, W. Jean, wife of the late William O'Neill. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery. Relatives and Friends may call at church on Tuesday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
