John Lopuski Obituary
JOHN LOPUSKI, 91 John Lopuski, 91, passed away peacefully at Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York, PA on Saturday, March 1, 2014. Born June 24, 1922 in Elverson, PA, John was the son of Paul and Sophie Lopuski. John served his country as a Staff Sergeant during World War II in the United States Army. Before retirement, he was the owner of West End Welding and was a distributor for industrial gas supplies in Stowe, PA. John was a talented polka dancer and enjoyed treasure hunting in flea markets and auctions. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed stumping the squirrels. He was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Ann Lopuski. He is survived by a daughter, Kris Pollick and her husband David of York, PA and a son, Jan Lopuski and his wife Kristi of Douglasville, PA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Jon, Kate, Kirsten, Elyse and Emily, one great-grandchild, Mia and a brother, Andrew and wife Irene of Pottstown and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Stanley and Edward and sisters, Helen Burst and Irene Hipkins. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Warker Troutman Funeral Home, 726 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464, with a service following at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 998 S. Russell Street, York, PA 17402 or Catholic Harvest Food Pantry, 628 E. Market Street, York, PA 17403.
