JOHN MARK BROWN, 66, OF POTTSTOWN John Mark Brown, 66, of Pottstown, PA, went home to be with his Lord, Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Manor Care, Pottstown, PA. He was the husband Joanie Brown. He was the son of the late John Howard Minick and Helen Steffy Minick Frymoyer. Born in Pottstown, PA, he was valedictorian of his 1966 graduating class at Pottstown High School. Prior to college, John was adopted by his 10th grade biology teacher, Thomas A. Brown. An academic, he received a scholarship to Cornell University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He then graduated from the Institute of Biblical Studies, Deptford, NJ. John was formerly employed by the Dana Corporation. Most recently, he worked as a salesman for the Faulkner Buick/GMC in West Chester, PA for 12 years. He was formerly employed by Fischer Cadillac-Oldsmobile in Stuart, FL. A strong Christian, he was a member of Tri County Bible Church, one of the original founders and first president of Westmont Christian Academy and part time radio broadcaster at a local Christian Radio station in the Delaware Valley - WCHR 94.5 FM. He volunteered his time and led spiritual services both at Parkhouse Providence Pointe and Manor Care. He loved his wife, family, the Word of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, great preaching, southern gospel music and Israel. Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Matthew and his wife Kate Brown of Pottstown, PA, and John Brown of Pottstown, PA; one daughter, Charity, wife of Jeffrey Wynne of Pottstown, PA; brother, James Frymoyer of Pottstown, PA; sister, Cheryl, widow of Thomas Bailey of Pottstown, PA, and five grandchildren, Emma Wynne, Matthew, Anna, Leah and Clara Brown. A viewing will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. on Monday, March 24, 2014 at Tri County Bible Church, 142 Buchert Road, Gilbertsville, PA 19525. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Pastor Lee Hallman will officiate. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown, PA.
