Joseph E. "Henry" "Peaches" Dzuryachko, 81, husband of Ethel "Pat" Dzuryachko of Phoenixville, Pa. died suddenly at home Friday, May 4, 2012.
Born in Mont Clare, Pa., he was a son of the late Andrew and Anna (Robish) Dzuryachko.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
Henry worked at the former B.F. Goodrich Tire Company in Oaks, Pa., for 36 years and then worked for the Phoenixville School District.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, V.F.W. Post 1564, Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company, and West End Fire Company, where he tended bar.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Cheryl Goral, of Colorado, David Dzuryachko, of Vermont, and Donna, wife of Russell, Bitting, of Phoenixville. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Sabrina Bitting, and a grandson, William Bitting, as well as his sister, Elizabeth Yusko, of Phoenixville.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters: Nicholas Durachko, Andrew Dzuryachko, Helen Brensinger, Theresa Damiani, Anna Welsh, Margaret Kerr, Rita Seech, and Catherine Yatsko.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 146 Church Street, Phoenixville, Pa., Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Michael W. Rzonca officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Mont Clare, Pa.
Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 9 to 10:15 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Mass cards may be given or contributions may be sent to the Chester County S.P.C.A, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
