Joseph Suloman Obituary
JOSEPH SULOMAN, 90, OF GILBERTSVILLE Joseph Suloman, 90, of Gilbertsville, New Hanover Twp., husband of Ethel M. (Conrad) Suloman, passed away on Monday, March 10 at his home with his wife by his side. Born in Stowe, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Hegyi) Suloman. Joseph was a member of Falkner Swamp Reformed Church in Gilbertsville. He was a founding member of the Lonesome Cabin Hunting Lodge in Centre County. In 1971 he and Ethel founded Suloman Milk Store which still continues to serve the community to this day. He continued farming until he was 85. Surviving with his wife of 65 years is son Larry Suloman, husband of Darlene; daughters Jane Scheck, wife of William, Nancy Copenhafer, wife of Karl, Joanne Letnaunchyn, wife of Gene, and Susan Saylor, wife of Maurice; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by two brothers and one sister. A funeral service will be Thursday, March 13, 11 a.m. at New Hanover United Methodist Church, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, with Rev. Dave Lewis officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 9 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's name to Visiting Nurses Association of Pottstown and Vicinity, 1963 E High St., Pottstown, PA 19464.
