JOSEPH T. KLAPTOSKY, 85, OF POTTSTOWN Joseph T. Klaptosky, 85, of Pottstown, husband of the late Gertrude R. (Wilhelm) Klaptosky, passed away Sunday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Stowe, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary (Yencik) Klaptosky. Joseph served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and later retired from Dohler-Jarvis in 1989. He was a member of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Stowe as well a life member of West End Fire Co., Stowe. Joseph was an avid fisherman and hunter too. Surviving is his son, Thomas J. Klaptosky of Pottstown, and his sister, Stella Spiewak of Royersford. Along with his parents and wife, Joseph was predeceased by his two brothers, John and Stephen Klaptosky, and his four sisters, Ann Egenberger, Betty Emerson, Helen Fellman and Mary Tudor. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 22, 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 425 W. Walnut St., Pottstown, PA 19464. Interment will follow at St. John Byzantine Cemetery, Pottstown. Visitation will be held Friday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Catagnus Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., 711 N. Franklin St., Pottstown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church at the above address.
