Leo C. Peroni Sr. Obituary
LEO C. PERONI SR., 91 Leo C. Peroni Sr., 91, peacefully passed away with his family at his side, on January 24, 2013. Leo was married to his loving wife of 69 years, Lillian (Yeagle) Peroni. Lillian died in 2011. The couple resided in Pottstown all of their married life until moving to Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2008 to live with daughter, Pat (Peroni) and son-in-law, Dick Marks. Leo is survived by Pat and Dick Marks; two granddaughters, and five great-grandchildren; son, Lee; daughter-in-law, Christine; one granddaughter, and two great-grandchildren; sister, Nora Reinhart; brother, Peter Peroni, and brother-in-law, Kenneth Drumheller, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Leo was beloved in Pottstown and in Grand Rapids. He will always be remembered for being a great son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, neighbor and Whispering Woods Assisted Living resident. Leo was a World War II Army/Air Corps veteran. A retired Dana Corporation employee, Leo worked at the Center St. plant for over 41 years. Leo was an avid golfer and bowler while living in Pottstown. He will also be remembered for being a great sportsman and competitor. Per his request, Leo was cremated. In the near future, a celebratory memorial get-together will be held in Pottstown for Leo and Lillian.
