LIDA DICKINSON, 65 Lida Dickinson, 65, passed away peacefully after a long and courageous bout with cancer on Sunday March 24 at her home surrounded by her children. She was the loving wife for 23 years to Charles W. Dickinson. Lida was born on April 12, 1947 in Asbach, Germany, to the late John and Olga Muzychka. For the past 30 years she worked at CMD incorporated, D&D Collision and Pottstown Transit overseeing all facets of the business operations. Lida was actively involved in the beautification of the Borough of Pottstown, as she spearheaded the annual flower planting at borough hall and the planters that lined High Street, as well as taking care of all the hanging plants located in and around the borough. In Lida's free time, she enjoyed spending time with her children, spoiling all of her 10 grandchildren, making her chocolate candies during the Christmas season and meeting her friends for breakfast every Saturday morning. She also enjoyed crocheting blankets and scarves for family members and friends and taking trips to the casino. Surviving family members include her daughter, Dorene, wife of Chris Gratton; Ken, husband of Stephanie; Lida, wife of David Addison, and Stephanie, wife of Brett Alperowitz. In addition to her 10 grandchildren, Christopher, Tyler and Dylan Gratton, Grace and Gavin German, Logan and Cole Addison, Luke, Zack and Ryder Alperowitz. She was predeceased in death by her mother and father as well as her two brothers, Eugene and Jerry. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening March 27, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA, and Thursday morning, March 28, 2013 from 10 - 11 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 1101 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA. Her funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday from St. James Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Coventryville United Methodist Church Cemetery, Coventryville, PA. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lida's name to Lida's neurosurgeon, Dr. Q at John Hopkins University to help his quest to fight brain cancer.
