MELVIN S. BRUNK, 78, OF ROYERSFORD Melvin S. Brunk, 78, of Royersford, went to be with his Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at his residence. He was the loving husband to Barbara (Detweiler) Brunk. He was born to the late Paul W. Brunk and the late Minnie (Good) Brunk. Melvin was a self-employed Plumber, HVAC and Electrician from Royersford. He enjoyed engineering and repairing all types of things. He built and designed his own heaters called "Heat King Boilers". Melvin enjoyed flying small planes in his earlier years. He loved dogs and training them. Melvin was a member of St. James United Church of Christ. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Gerald D. Brunk of Royersford, and Darvin Brunk and wife, Gloria of Souderton; his two daughters, Gladys Roth and husband, Sherwood of Souderton, and Shirley Hunsberger and husband, Kenneth of Spring City; his two sisters, Beulah M. Brunk of Royersford and Ellen Moyer and husband, Donald of Telford; his brother, Elmer J. Brunk of Royersford; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Brunk; his infant daughter, Verna Mae Brunk; his brother, Wilson S. Brunk,; his sister, Grace E. Ramer, and two infant grandchildren. Viewings will be held on Friday, March 16, at Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 East Broad Street, Souderton, from 6 - 8 p.m. and on Saturday, March 17, at Rockhill Mennonite Church, 3100 Meetinghouse Road, Telford, from 9:30 - 10:30a.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 17 at Rockhill Mennonite Church at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Rockhill Mennonite Cemetery.
