Michael R. Ferenz Sr., 82, widower of Margaret (Novotny) Ferenz, of Grosstown Road, Stowe, Pa., died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.
Born in Pottstown, Pa., he was the son of the late Gregor and Rose (Vontor) Ferenz.
Mr. Ferenz was a maintenance mechanic for Columbia Boiler, Reading Crane, B.F. Goodrich and Occidental Chemical.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was also a member of Holy Trinity R.C.C. in Pottstown, Pa. Among his hobbies were his home repair and home-building talents.
Surviving are his two sons, Michael R. Ferenz Jr., husband of Anita, of Coatesville, Pa., and John Ferenz, husband of Mary, of Ocean View, N.J. He is also survived by his two daughters, Margaret Hallman, of Tennessee, and Patricia Ferenz, of Wyomissing, Pa., along with 12 grandchildren.
Michael was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Holy Trinity R.C.C. , 370 South St., Pottstown, Pa., Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Stowe, Pa. A viewing will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Thursday morning from 9 to 10 a.m. at Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 E. High St., Pottstown, Pa.
