Miguel A. Gonzalez, 49, of Palm Bay, Fla., and formerly of Allentown, husband of Nilda (Maldonado) Gonzalez, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2013 at Palm Bay Medical Center.
Born in Isabela, Puerto Rico, he was a son of the late Blacino Gonzalez and the late Francisca Ramos.
Miguel was employed as a group leader with the former Polymeric System Inc., now Whitford, of Morgantown.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Nilda of 30 years, is one son, Edwin, of Allentown, two daughters, Yanira, of Allentown, and Yanitza, of Pinellas Park, Fa., three brothers, Gustavo Gonzalez, Heriberto Gonzalez, Jose Valez, and five sisters, Zoraida Tirado, Sonia Gonzalez, Rosa Oliver, Provi Garcia and Grace Moloney. He is also survived be 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by one brother, Hortenio Tirado.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. Officiating will be Ricardo Robles. Burial will be in Edgewood Cemetery, Pottstown. A viewing will be held from 10 until 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
