PAUL D. "DOC" BAUMAN, 77, FORMERLY OF BOYERTOWN Paul D. "Doc" Bauman, 77, of 615 Mocking Bird Lane, Winter Haven, FL formerly of Boyertown, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Good Shepherd Hospice, Auburndale, FL. Born on May 3, 1933 in Berks County, he was the son of the late Leroy and Esther (Kulp) Bauman. He was the husband of Velma (Webb) Bauman and the late Nancy H. Bauman. Doc was a life member of Gabelsville AA, Pikeville Sportsman's Association, Friendship Hook & Ladder Fire Company, Boyertown and the Liberty Fire Company, New Berlinville. He was a member of the Lions Club of Lake Alfred, FL. He enjoyed Little League Legion Baseball. Surviving with his wife Velma, is a son, Michael P. Bauman, husband of Sandra, and a grandson, Bradly M. Bauman both of Boyertown; five sisters, Peg Guss of Boyertown, Dorothy Gasper of Emmaus, Nancy Markoski of Boyertown, Joyce Rothenberger of New Berlinville and Mary, wife of Larry Sheeler of Boyertown, and three stepdaughters, Debbie, wife of Ronald Miller of Tamaqua, PA; Angie, wife of John King of Exeter, and Patty Webb wife of Kevin Nicholas of Quakertown. Paul was predeceased by his first wife, Nancy H. (Heiman) Bauman on February 6, 1991; also by a brother, Laverne Bauman and a stepdaughter Cheryl Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service, 11 a.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Relatives and friends will be received between 10 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will be in Christ Union Cemetery, Niantic, PA private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Good Shepherd Hospice, Development Department, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823.
