Paul Levan


Paul D. Levan, 84, passed away March 6, 2013 at home surrounded by his family.
Mr. Levan was born July 28, 1928 in Kutztown.
He enjoyed fishing at Steve's Catfish Farm, volunteering with Fleetwood Fire Company and Hawk Mountain Boy Scouts and listening to the Allentown Band.
Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving at Ft. Rucker, Alabama.
He owned and operated Paul's Airport Grill in Kutztown. He then worked as the Head Baker for Kutztown College for 36 years. He used his cooking/baking talents to nourish scouts throughout Pennsylvania and Pensacola.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine B. Levan; his son, David (Pam) Levan; his grandchildren, Kathryn (Adam) Clark, Christopher and Jonathon Levan; and his extended Booker and Lucas family.
A memorial service was held at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 9, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Reverend Carolyn Nelson and Dr. Ross Lankford officiating.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Emerald Coast Hospice, West Florida Hospital-6th floor nursing staff and all the physicians and therapists that cared for Paul throughout these past weeks.
The family received friends at the funeral home 30 minutes prior to the memorial service.
