RALPH CHARLES HASSEL JR., 82 Ralph Charles Hassel Jr., 82, passed away Dec. 23, 2011 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Wilkes Barre to the late Ralph Charles and Ellen Owens Hassel Sr., he resided in the Pottstown/Stowe Area for more than 40 years. Mr. Hassel was an avid Historian and enjoyed going to flea markets and farmers markets. He was owner operator of Beverly's Jewelery at Zerns Farmers Market for 26 years. He was also employed for 30 years with Boyertown Autobody Works. The Hassel name can be traced back to the Archives of the Betsy Ross House. Ralph was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lois E. (Wander) Hassel; loving father of Ralph (Debbie) Hassel III, Beverly (Fernando) Scotto-Di-Luzio and Sharon (Stephen) Maguire; his brothers, Edward (Rose) Hassel and Paul Hassel; sister-in-law, Eleanor Hassel, and seven grandchildren, Katie, Amie and Sara Maguire; Lucia and Domenico Scotto-Di-Luzio, and Justin and Jessica Hassel. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Robert Hassel. Family and friends invited to his funeral service Friday 11 a.m. Rigby Harding Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. 4th St., Media, PA; calling from 10 a.m. with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery.
