RICHARD C. RALSTON, 87, OF POTTSTOWN Richard C. Ralston, 87, of Pottstown, husband of Yushin (Suh) Ralston, passed away on Monday at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Centre Hall, he was the son of the late Hugh and Mamie (Brooks) Ralston. Richard was a WWII Navy veteran and a member of Parker Ford Church. A 1951 graduate of Penn State University, Mr. Ralston was employed by the Insurance Company of North America (INA), now CIGNA, for 35 years. He began his career in Harrisburg as a claims adjuster. Later he transferred to Allentown; Houston, TX; Seattle, WA; Philadelphia; Harrisburg, and finally back to Philadelphia, where he retired as Vice President. During his 35 years, he also served as President of the International Services Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of INA. In that position, Mr. Ralston traveled extensively throughout the world. Richard, a sports fan, became involved in golf as a caddy when he was 12 years old and continued his involvement thought his life. He played football and baseball during his high school years and managed Babe Ruth Baseball team for a time while living in Wayne. He also loved to travel. Surviving with his wife of 23 years are children, Jeff Ralston of Watauga, TX; Cindy Hoehn of Carlisle; Bryan Ralston of Coatesville; Rena Raso of Blue Bell, and Dino Raso of Gilbertsville; seven grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his first wife, Jeanette Haines, and brother, Hugh G. Ralston. A memorial service will be Thursday, March 14, 11 a.m. at Parker Ford Church, 20 Rineheart Road, Pottstown, PA, 19465.
