RICHARD J. NOONAN, OF CARLISLE Richard J. (Dick) Noonan, of Carlisle, died June 13, 2012 of a brain hemorrhage. After graduating from Abington high school in 1948, Dick joined the
United States Air Force
and served in England during the Berlin airlift. After two tours of duty, he spent the early part of his career with Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company then had a second career managing restaurants in the Pottstown area. In 2008 Dick got a phone call from his high school sweetheart Jean. That call would change both of their lives. Jean and Dick had not spoken since high school. Each had raised children and lost loving spouses. After a short courtship Jean and Dick married, he was 79, she was 78. They spent the last four years in a very loving relationship. Aside from his wife Jean, Dick is survived by his five children: Richard, husband of Jennifer, Debbie wife of Michael Brilla; Kathy, wife of Michael Troutman; Sharon, and Beth, wife of Kevin McGonagle, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and a sister Mary, wife of Francis Ball. He is also survived by six stepchildren, Karen McConnell, wife of Alan, Cindy Stevens, wife of Ron and Holly Chittum, Beth, John and Jeff Pearson, as well as 11 step grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his second wife of 25 years, Faye, and brothers Joseph, Robert and sister Theresa. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the First Church of God, 705 Glendale St., Carlisle, PA 17013 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the
