ROBERT REICHARD, 81, OF GILBERTSVILLE Robert Reichard, 81, husband of Jane L. (Young) Reichard, of Gilbertsville, passed away on Thursday morning, November 1, 2012, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born in Bethlehem, PA, he was a son of the late Anna (Bundas) and William Reichard. Bob was a member of the Valley Forge Baptist Temple, where he was active in the Senior Saints Adult Bible Fellowship, and had formerly attended the Limerick Chapel. As an elder at Limerick Chapel, he taught Awana, as well as Junior High Sunday School. Bob was a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army, proudly serving during the Korean War. He worked as a chemist for Firestone then Occidental Chemical in Pottstown. Bob loved and served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He loved life and was one who was adventurous and liked to have fun. He enjoyed playing games with his grandchildren, reading, and playing tennis. In addition to his wife of 57 years, Mr. Reichard is survived by his children, Joyce, wife of Richard West; Lawrence, husband of Diane Reichard, and Rob, husband of Daphne Reichard; 14 grandchildren, Kelsey, Brittani, Joshua, Nathan, Carissa, Wil, Adriana, and Elise Reichard, and Sarah Olsen, Amy Martin, Rick, Katelynn, Scott, and Kyle West, and one great-grandson, Gavin Martin. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Valley Forge Baptist Temple, 616 S. Trappe Road, Collegeville, PA 19426, on Monday, November 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Scott Wendal. Interment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 9-10:45 a.m. at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Valley Forge Baptist Temple Missions Fund at the address above.
