Beloved husband for more than fifty-five years to Genevieve I. (nee Alderfer) Batten.
He is survived by his daughters Cynthia (Richard) Sakowski of Tabernacle and Andrea (Robert) Burman of Lawrenceville, Ga.; his son Craig (Marcia) Batten of Doylestown, Pa., and his four grandchildren Caitlin Bangle, Drew Batten, Sarah Burman, Daniel Burman, as well as his brother Roger (Elizabeth) Batten of Limerick, Pa., and sisters Sandra Nance of Sioux Falls, S.D., Beverly (Richard) Kandrick of Winchester, Va. and many loving nieces and nephews.
Roland was a member of the Holy Communion Lutheran Church for over 50 years.
He attended the Antonelli School of Photography in Philadelphia and was employed for many years as a Printing Specialist for the U.S. Government Printing Office in Southampton, Pa.
He had an interest in the history of magic and attended many magic conventions. He was an avid traveler, visiting many destinations in the Caribbean and within the United States.
Roland was a big fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday afternoon noon to 1 p.m. followed by funeral services 1 p.m. at the Holy Communion Lutheran Church, 442 S. Rt 73 Berlin N.J.
Interment will be at the Berlin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations to the Holy Communion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund at the above address.
