Obituary Condolences

SHIRLEY A. BABB, 76, OF BOYERTOWN Shirley A. (Heydt) Babb, 76, of Boyertown, widow of Paul 'Pete' A. Babb, died Monday at Manor Care Pottstown. Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Amandus M. Heydt and the late Frances May (Yoder) Heydt. She worked for Drug Plastics as a machine operator for 20 years. Shirley was an avid NASCAR fan, her favorite driver was Tony Stewart. She was also a fan of the Phillies and pitcher Jamie Moyer. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was most precious to her and she will be missed by all. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boyertown. Surviving are three sons, David G. Babb, husband of Connie of Boyertown; Jeffrey P. Babb, husband of Paula of Douglassville, and Kerry Babb of Fort Meyers, FL; eight grandchildren, Chris, Byron, Nathan, Todd, Shane, Katie, Erin and Bobbie, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by one sister, Delores Johnson. A memorial service will be held, Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 45 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Burial will be private in Hill Church Cemetery. Relatives and friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. at the chapel on Friday morning.
