WARREN SHANTZ JR., 78, ROYERSFORD Warren "Ed" Shantz Jr., 78, Royersford, husband of Joan (Moyer) died Thursday in Seasons Hospice Phoenixville PA. Ed was born in Phoenixville a son to the late Warren E. Sr. and the late Ruth (Keim) Shantz. Ed worked many years as a broker in the meat industry and also was employed in farming. Ed resided most of his life in the Spring City area. He enjoyed his family and was a member of the American Legion Post 602 Thomas W. O'Connor Spring City and the Liberty Fire Company of Spring City. He was also a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Spring Ford Lodge #553. In addition to his wife he is also survived by two children, Dianne Wagner and Paul Shantz of Spring City; one grandson, Jason Wagner, husband of Tara of Spring City, and three great-grandchildren Colin, Caleb and Catlin. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at the Spring City Fellowship Church, Glass Avenue, Spring City, with the Rev. John Shantz officiating. Burial is private. Masonic service will be held at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Thomas W. O'Connor Post 602 Spring City American Legion 25 N.
