Wesley Grow Obituary

WESLEY RALPH GROW, 70, OF POTTSTOWN Wesley Ralph Grow, 70, of Pottstown, died on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville. Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Willard R. Grow and Evelyn (Weis) Grow. Mr. Grow was a graduate of Pottstown High School and received a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Albright College. For several years, he taught in the Twin Valley Elementary School. A music enthusiast, Wesley played organ and piano in his band "The Sting Rays". They performed in local clubs. He wrote music, enjoyed walking and reading. He kept up on current events and politics. Survivors include one daughter, Dr. Chelsea Grow, wife of Farid Sayah of Pass Christian, MS; one brother, Robert W. Grow and his wife, Lillian of Douglassville, and one grandson, Shad Sayah of Pass Christian, MS. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Monday, Decemeber 12, 2011 at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte Street, Pottstown. The Rev. Dr. Laurie Jean Andersen will officiate. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum, Pottstown. Friends may call from 9-10 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. R.I.P. wesley. May your music live on in the hearts and memories of your family and friends. I remember The sting rays and the "good ole days" when we all had bands or were in bands and life was good. :-) Sharon former member of (The Moonlighters)
