William F. McCann, born on April 12, 1951 in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, died peacefully at home on December 29, 2012, in Phoenixville, PA.
He enjoyed living in Phoenixville, which was his hometown for more than 40 years. He loved old movies, working in the garden, and all Philadelphia sports, particularly the Phillies. He loved all animals, and enjoyed feeding and watching the birds. He was most especially devoted to his tiger cat, Mia, and the cats he's had over the years, all brown tabbies.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Helen Gehret, his sisters Barbara and her husband Joe Callozzo, Helene and her husband Kenneth Terne, his brother Joseph and his wife Anne McCann, his aunts Mildred Seckel and Mimi Eckerline, and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville on Saturday, January 5, 2012 from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Donations may be made in Billy's memory to the Delaware Humane Association, 701 A Street, Wilmington, DE 19801, where he adopted his cat, Mia, in 2000.
