Doretha A. (Hackenberg) Wieder, 88, wife of John H. Wieder of Phoenixville, Pa., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, surrounded by her family.|
Born in Middleburg, Pa., she was a daughter of the late Clair and Ida Mae (Benner) Hackenberg.
Doretha was a homemaker and enjoyed making crafts, sewing and canning. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life.
She was a member of Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kimberton.
Surviving are a sons, Dalton and Sylvia Wieder of Pottstown, Dennis Wieder of Mechanicsville, Md.; a daughter, Judy and Reggie Ryberg of Kimberton; six grandchildren, Sandi, Dennis, Amber, Alicia, Nancy, and Mary; two great-grandchildren, Kylie and Leah; sisters, Mildred, Julia, and Anna Mae; brothers, John, Nevin and Nick.
She was preceded in death by her sister Helen and brothers Bob, Lester and Donald.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Coldstream and Hares Hill roads, Kimberton, Pa., on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Brownback's U.C.C. Cemetery in Spring City.
A viewing will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
