Raymond M. Miller Obituary
RAYMOND M. MILLER, 89 Raymond M. Miller, 89, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, March 7, 2014, at Frederick Mennonite Home, Upper FrederickTownship, PA, with family by his side. He was the husband of the late Madeline (Hallman) Miller who preceded him in death on March 4, 2012. Raymond was born on February 28, 1925, in Buffalo, NY, and was a son of the late Melvin and Mildred Miller. He served as a Corporal with the US Marine Corps, in Asia and the Pacific during World War II. Before he retired, Raymond was a US Postal Service letter carrier in Philadelphia. Over the years he enjoyed woodworking, reading, camping and had a fascination for Native American culture. Ray was a member of a bowling league at the Limerick Bowl for several years. He and his wife enjoyed dancing and playing cards with friends. Raymond was a member of Kline-Styer-McCann Post #7155, Veterans Of Foreign Wars, Trappe, and Byron S. Fegely Post #119, American Legion, Collegeville. Raymond is survived by his sons, Darrell R., husband of Joan (Reed) Miller and Richard R., husband of Susan (Green) Miller, both of Limerick Twp. He is survived by six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara A. (Miller) Pupillo, one brother, and one sister. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Trinity Reformed U.C.C. Cemetery, Collegeville. Memorial contributions may be made to the ., 3001 Gettysburg Rd., Camp Hill, Pennsylvania 17011; or the American , Suite 700, 1617 John F. Kennedy BLVD, Philadelphia, PA19103-1802.
