RICHARD C. WELLS SR., 83, OF LIMERICK Richard C. Wells Sr., 83, husband of Helen M. (Ebinger) Wells,Township Line Road, Limerick Twp., died Wednesday, at Phoenixville Hospital. Mr. Wells was born on July 15, 1930, in Spring City, and was a son of the late Harry A. and Gertrude (Saylor) Wells. He served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Wells retired in 1996, from Farm & Home Oil, Telford, where he was a salesman for over 10 years. He previously worked for McCoy's Appliance Store, Norristown, the Raymond Rosen Co., Philadelphia, Major's Dairy, Limerick, and the A&P Store, Royersford. During his retirement, he delivered parts for Car Quest, Collegeville. Mr. Wells was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council, sang in the choir, and served on the property committee. He was a president of the Upper Montgomery Chapter, Thrivent Financial For Lutherans and a life member of the Humane Fire Company, Royersford. In addition to his wife of 63 years, Mr. Wells is survived by his son, Richard C., Jr., husband of Betty (Weir) Wells, Clarks Summit; his grandchildren, Lauren, wife of Davin Baker, Jacob Wells, Kathleen, wife of Brian Lasher, and Charles, husband of Elizabeth (Wren) Jefferis; and his great-grandchildren, Mikayla Frantz, Jenna Lasher, Emily Lasher, Ashlynn Lasher, Trinity Jefferis and Reagan Jefferis, and his step-great-grandchildren, Brandon Lasher, Thomas Cutler, Shannon Quinn, Michael Quinn, and Maggie Quinn. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Diane M. Wells, and five siblings. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Daniel M. Schaefer, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Limerick Garden Of Memories, Limerick Twp. Friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m., Monday, at church. Memorial contributions may be made to Jerusalem Evangelical LutheranChurch, 311 2nd St., Schwenksville, PA 19473. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.
