Marguerite "Peggy" (Seitler) Rentschler Obituary
Marguerite "Peggy" (Seitler) Rentschler, age 79 wife of James "Jim" Rentschler Sr., passed away on Saturday morning at her home in Parkerford.
Peg was born in Phoenixville to the late Nicholas Albert and Katherine Susan (Kunsch) Seitler. Peg resided most of her life in the Spring City and Parkerford areas. She was a 1952 graduate of Phoenixville High School where she played softball and was in the Marching Band.
Peg was also a member of the Liberty Fire Company in Spring City. She enjoyed going to the casinos. Peg loved her family and will be greatly missed.
Peg was the loving mother to daughter Pamela S. wife of Edward Brown of Parkerford, grandmother of Edward J. Brown of Royersford and sister to the late Elaine Rentschler and Albert Seitler. Peg was preceded in death by her son James Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge and Church Streets, Spring City. Interment will follow in the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia. Her viewing will be held Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 10:30 am. Memorial gifts may be made in her memory to the Seasons Hospice Chester County 700 S. Henderson Rd. Suite 225 King of Prussia PA 19406 or the Cancer Center 824 S. Main Street Phoenixville, PA 19460. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Shalkop Grace & Strunk Funeral Home, Bridge and Church Streets, Spring City. With Chaplain Caleb Harms officiating.
Visitation will be from 9 - 10:30 AM Wednesday in the funeral home, 135 Bridge Street, Spring City, PA. Burial will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia.
