FRANK A. KATZ, 90, OF CLEARWATER, FL Frank A. Katz, 90, husband of the late Anne (Malatesta) Katz, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of Douglassville and Royersford, PA, died Thursday, June 5, 2014 in Clearwater, Florida. He was a 1941 graduate of the Royersford High School. A veteran, Mr. Katz served for the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was very proud of the work he did repairing and replacing aircraft propellers. Mr. Katz worked as a mason for his father's company in Royersford, H.P. Katz and Sons. Later in life he worked as a realtor for the Glocker Real Estate Company. He was a long term member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Royersford. He was also a member of the Royersford Lodge #585 Free and Accepted Masons. Mr. Katz is survived by two children: Elaine (Katz) Meils, wife of Daniel Meils, of Clearwater, Florida, and Robert D. Katz, of Dallas Texas. In addition to his wife of 55 years, Mr. Katz is predeceased by one daughter: Diane J. Katz and five siblings: Anna (James) Newborn, Wayne (Gladys) Katz, Margaret (Herbert) Richards, Freda (Walter) Cooke, Mary (Herbert) Diehl. The Spring-Ford Lodge #553 will have their service on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA. Mr. and Mrs. Katz's memorial services will be held together immediately following the Masonic service. Officiating will be the Rev. Janelle L. Krais. Burial will be held in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Friends will be received from 10:30-11 a.m. Tuesday morning at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the "Tarpon Fundamental Education Foundation" with "Anne M. Katz Memorial Fund" written in the memo section. These funds are allocated for the art and music program at Tarpon Fundamental Elementary School and may be sent to the Tarpon Fundamental Education Foundation, 400 East Harrison Street, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689.
