JOHN MICKIEVICZ, 93, OF POTTSTOWN John Mickievicz, 93, of Sanatoga Ridge Community in Pottstown, PA died Sunday, July 20, 2014 at home. He was the widower of Lilian W. Mickievicz. John was born and raised in Reading, PA. He moved to Phoenixville and became a well known local business man. He was the owner of the Phoenix Diner on Bridge and Church streets during the late 1940s and early 1950s, Johnny's TV on the corner of Bridge and Gay streets in the late 1950s and 1960s, the Phoenixville Trailer Sales in the early 1970s and finally, Phoenix Truck Caps on Rte. 724 in Phoenixville from 1972 until 2004, when he decided that at the age of 83, it was time to retire. He is survived by one son, John A. Mickievicz, husband of Carol of Douglassville; one daughter, Joyce O. Lacy, widow of George A. Lacy of Pottstown; a granddaughter, Cheryl L. Stauffer of Pottstown; a grandson, Scott K. Mickievicz, husband of Cindy of Elizabethtown; two great-granddaughters, Amanda M. Stauffer and Erin E. Mickievicz; one great-grandson, Adam S. Mickievicz; and one great-great-grandson, Finnley J. Stauffer. According to his wishes, there will be no calling hours or service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in his memory to Visiting Nurse Association of Pottstown and Vicinity Hospice, 1963 East High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464. Arrangements are by the Auer Memorial Home and Cremation Services in Harrisburg.
