Henry Dougherty Obituary

HENRY "DOC" DOUGHERTY, 68, OF BECHTELSVILLE Henry "Doc" Dougherty, 68, husband of Kathy (Noone) Dougherty of Bechtelsville, died Saturday, February 18, 2012 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Hospice, Allentown, where he was a patient since February 10, 2012. Born in Phoenixville he was the son of the late Henry and Anna (Seitz) Dougherty. He was an independent truck driver for over 30 years, retiring in 2009. Doc was a member of St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church, Boyertown. Surviving with his wife, Kathy, are his daughter, Shawna; grandson, Brian; four brothers, Richard "Hoagie", Joseph, William and Patrick Dougherty; three sisters, Anna Dougherty, Kathleen Haggerty and Rose Dougherty; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maria and Si Akbari, Thomas Noone, John and Joanne Noone and Joanne and Scott Burke, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012 at St. Columbkill Roman Catholic Church, 200 Indian Spring Road, Boyertown. Father Marty Kern will officiate. Relatives and friends will be received Saturday between 10 - 11 a.m. at the church. Memorial gifts may be made in Doc's Memory to the Lehigh Valley Health Network-Hospice Unit, 2100 Mack Boulevard, P. O. Box 4000, Allentown, PA 18105 or you may visit them at www.lvhn.org/donate. Arrangements are being handled by the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 111 North Reading Avenue, Boyertown. Online condolences may be made at www.lwottfuneralhome.com.
