Obituary Condolences

LEONARD R. DAVIS Leonard R. Davis of Millsboro, PA, formerly of Pottstown, PA, know to his friends as "Lynyrd Skynyrd", passed into life eternal after a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer on September 27, 2012. He was born August 29, 1995, in Brownsville, PA, a son of the late William "Bill" and Faith Gottheld Davis. Leonard was a 1973 graduate of Beth Center High School. He served in the Navy, at the end of the Viet Nam War, and was a member in good standing of the American Legion. Leonard was employed as a security guard for Boscov's Department Store and previously was a heavy equipment operator. Leonard enjoyed music, videos, computer games, and animals, especially his dog, Rusty, who passed last year. He was an avid Steelers fan, win or lose. He had a loving heart and spent much of his life caring for his parents. He will be sadly missed. Leonard is survived by a brother, John Davis, and half-brother, Bill, along with Aunt Dottie Melchiorre and her husband, Vince of Pottstown, with whom he made his home while in Pottstown. He is also survived by several other aunts, uncles and nieces. He also leaves many wonderful friends, especially Nancy and Bill, who cared for him. Services are private and under the direction of the Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Federicktown, PA.
