Obituary Condolences

DANIEL LUTZ JR., 57, OF POTTSTOWN Daniel Lutz Jr., 57, companion of Carol L. (Romero) Lutz of Meadowview Drive, Pottstown, PA died Thursday October 11, 2012 at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Daniel and Rita M. (Mantz) Lutz Sr. Dan worked as an audio-video engineer for Action News in Philadelphia, PA, for 25 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, 301 Cherry Street, Pottstown. He was also a member of the Pottstown V.F.W and a U.S Air Force Veteran. He was the most charismatic and sincerely heartfelt individual. He lived his life for his family and was hard working and always strived for excellence. He had a youthful heart and enjoyed traveling, gardening, dramatically telling stories and making up songs about everything, and he rode his bike with the Hamlin Hawgs. He was in the Guinness Book of World Records for the longest live broadcast. He had a strong faith and was a man of Christ and had a strong will to live. Surviving are four children, Brian Patton of Manayunk, Ashley A. Lutz of Pottstown, Brittany Marie Lutz also of Pottstown and Daniel Michael Lutz III of Pottstown; a granddaughter, Annalise Rita-Marie Lutz, and a yet to be born grandchild. Dan is also survived by two sisters, Linda M. widow of Donald L. Rhoads Sr., of Douglassville, PA, and Michelle widow of Robert Burch, of Bethlehem, PA. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in St. John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. John The Baptist Byzantine Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 - 9 p.m. and Tuesday morning from 9 - 10 a.m. with parastas services at 10 a.m. from Warker-Troutman Funeral Home, 726 East High Street, Pottstown, PA. In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions to be made in Dan's name to help defray his funeral expenses.
