PERSHING FOCH ELLIOTT Pershing "Jack" Foch Elliott was born December 24, 1918 in Pottstown, PA, at home, the oldest son of Frank K. and Della A. (Hallman) Elliott. He died Friday, November 9, 2012 in Cabool, MS. Jack had two sisters, Gwen and Murial, and one brother, Frank, all deceased. Jack graduated from Pottstown High School. He met Rachael Dorothy Frymoyer at Jesse Slonaker's home, a mutual friend. They married August 10, 1940. Jack served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Then he worked at Doehler's for 15 years until he became ill. Jack was an excellent bread maker. He loved to go hiking, fishing, and camping. Rachael and Jack raised their four children in their home at 326 Jefferson Ave., Pottstown; Rodney of Reading; Dennis, husband of Mary Ann, Pottstown; Daniel, Cabool, MS, and Jackie Smith, who died in 2009. He has 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from the Schumacher & Benner Funeral Home & Crematory, 359 King St., Pottstown. There will be a viewing from 9 until 10 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be in Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to, Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675 or Disabled American Veterans, 5915 Bristol Emilie Road, Levittown, PA 19057.
