FREDERICK J. PETERS, 66, OF POTTSTOWN Frederick J. "Freddy" Peters passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center in Pottstown, PA. He was 66. Mr. Peters was a resident of Pottstown and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. He worked as a pipefitter and steamfitter for the Steamfitters Local 420 in Philadelphia, PA. Freddy was a member of the VFW Post 7878 in King of Prussia. Mr. Peters was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam Era, serving from 1964 to 1967 aboard the USS Franklin D. Roosevelt. He received the Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Star and the National Defense Service Medal. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA, on October 10, 1946, he was a son of the late John C. and Catherine (Noblitt) Peters. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 29 years, Margaret L. "Lorraine" (Carmanico) Peters; a daughter, Jennifer L. Strohecker and her husband, William T., of Pottstown, and a grandson, Ryan J. Strohecker. Relatives and friends are invited to Freddy's Prayer Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405, on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at 11 a.m. His viewing will be Tuesday morning from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.
