ROBERT L. JAMES, 65, OF POTTSTOWN Robert L. James (Bobby) of Pottstown died December 26, 2012 at home. He was 65. He was the loving husband of Carla (Simcox) James, to whom he was married for 27 years and son of the late Charles Black, Delores (James) Garlington and John Garlington. Bobby worked as a general contractor at Yerger Inc. of Pottstown for over eight years. He enjoyed owning and breeding dogs and playing pool. A 1966 Graduate of Pottsgrove High School, Bobby also enjoyed spending time and playing with his grandson, Idris Weaver. In addition to his wife, Carla, Bobby is survived by his daughter, Tanya (James) Weaver and her husband, Tyrone of Mt. Penn; son, Calvin Steven Turner IV of Philadelphia; grandson, Idris Weaver, and brothers, Johnnie James of Savannah, GA; Horace Garlington (Jacy) of Pottstown, and Keith Garlington (Anita) of Pottstown. Bobby is also survived by several other brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews, and various family members and friends. Bobby is predeceased by his brothers, Barry and Ronald Garlington. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing, Monday, December 31, 2012, 9:30 a.m., at the Houck & Gofus Funeral Home, 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA.
