Frank W. Flisock died April 26, 2013, at Manatawny Manor. He was 94. Frank is the husband of Emma H. (Gimont) Flisock, to whom he was married for almost 68 years.
Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Peter and Sophie (Smerski) Flisock. Frank attended Pottsgrove High School and then served in the Army during World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was stationed in the European
Theater. In earlier years, he worked in the family coal business, then later at the Stanley G. Flagg Company for more than 30 years as a core maker/carpenter. His family was one of the founding families of the former St. Peter's Catholic Church.
He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, reading, and sports.
Frank is survived by his wife Emma, one daughter, Carol Knisley, of Pottstown, a sister, Elizabeth Colgan, of Stowe, a grandaughter, Nicole O'Rourke, and her husband, James, two great-grandchildren, Reaghan and Grady, and several nieces and nephews.
Frank is predeceased by his infant daughter, Debra Ann, his brothers, Peter and Stanley, and his sister, Mary Voychik.
Relatives and friends are invited to Frank's viewing, Thursday, 10 a.m., Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Church, 256 Swamp Pike, (Limerick) Schwenksville, Pa. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Aloysius New Cemetery.
